दूसरे पाठ में, संत पौलुस ने फिलिप्पियों के विश्वास पर अपना विश्वास व्यक्त किया, यह जानते हुए कि ईश्वर वह कार्य पूरा करेंगे, जिसे उन्होंने उनके जीवन में आरंभ किया है। यह वचन आध्यात्मिक वृद्धि और परिपक्वता की बात करता है। लूका 3:1-6 में, योहन बपतिस्ता ने लोगों को पश्चाताप के लिए बुलाया, प्रभु के मार्ग को तैयार करने के लिए। यह वचन तैयारी और पश्चाताप का आह्वान करता है। पुराने नियम में भी हमें तैयारी के महत्व का संकेत मिलता है: • नूह ने जहाज़ तैयार किया, जिससे उसने अपने परिवार और सभी प्रजातियों के दो-दो जोड़े को प्रलय से बचाया (उत्पत्ति 6-9)। • मूसा ने इस्राएलियों को दस आज्ञाएँ प्राप्त करने के लिए तैयार किया (निर्गमन 19-20)। • इसी प्रकार, येसु ने अपने शिष्यों को उनके प्रस्थान के लिए तैयार किया और उन्हें महान आदेश दिया कि वे सुसमाचार का प्रचार करें (मत्ती 28:18-20)। प्रिय मित्रों, ये घटनाएँ हमें स्मरण दिलाती हैं कि हमारी आध्यात्मिक यात्रा में तैयारी और परिवर्तन महत्वपूर्ण हैं। जैसा कि बरूख 5:1 में लिखा है: "अपने शोक और कष्ट के वस्त्र उतार फेंको, हे यरूशलेम, और सदा के लिए ईश्वर की महिमा का सौंदर्य धारण करो।"

Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, in today’s first reading we read of the call to return to God, to put on the robes of righteousness and to walk in the light of God’s glory. This passage speaks of preparation and transformation. In today’s second reading, Paul expressed his confidence in the faith of Philippians, knowing that God will complete the good work He has begun in them. This passage speaks of growth and maturity. In Luke 3:1-6, John the Baptist called the people to repentance, preparing the way for the Lord.
This passage speaks of preparation and repentance. We see in the Old Testament that Noah prepared the ark, saving his family and two of every kind of animal from the flood (Genesis 6-9). Moses prepared the Israelites to receive the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19-20). In the same way Jesus prepared His disciples for His departure, giving them the Great Commission to spread the Good News (Matthew 28:18-20). Yes my dear friends these incidents remind us that preparation and transformation are key to our spiritual journey.
As Baruch writes in 5:1, “Take off the garment of your sorrow and affliction, O Jerusalem, and put on forever the beauty of the glory from God.” Come, my dear friends let us prepare our hearts and minds to receive God’s word and to follow His path so that we may be transformed by His power and love.
